According to the latest 2012 CIPD Labour Market Outlook (LMO) report 41% of employers are currently having difficulties in filling vacancies. The most difficult to fill being within Engineering, IT and Management.
Larger employers are having more issues in recruiting than SMEs and Project Managers and Consultants are amongst those positions most difficult to fill.
The LMO report summarises that strong employment growth is set to continue in the 4th Quarter with 66% of employers planning to hire. It also forecasts modest pay growth in the near to medium term.
On another positive note 61% private organisations say they are confident/fairly confident about growth prospects.
As we have heard recently from other sources, it cites temporary and part-time employment as key drivers in the employment upturn.
