The client was looking for a Team Lead FS-CD, BP & SAP HANA, and had been looking for over 6 months. We proposed our executive search service to them and they agreed to give us the assignment.
The client had previously used their own advertising and other contingent supplies.
They were interested in our deeper search of the market which would enable us to target the passive candidates not actively seeking a new position. Due to the niche skill requirements the client was also looking for a very targeted search.
Our strategy was to research the local and national market extensively and identify and target the top 50 profiles initially.
Key challenges were around the niche nature and rare combination of the skill sets, and that not every candidate would visibly display that they had the combination that the client was seeking.
To overcome this challenge we implemented an exhaustive root and branch research and referral networking campaign which involved us targeting the shortlist of competitor organisations and systematically working through them to identify the most relevant targets.
Once we had identified who the most relevant candidates were, we then approached them and introduced the position to them.
All suitable candidates were taken through an in-depth two stage interview process assessing both their suitability and interest levels.
The client was then provided with a shortlist of candidates, a detailed summary of each candidate, and progress report outlining the work undertaken.
We shortlisted 3 candidates, all 3 were interviewed and the successful candidate appointed.
The whole process took less than one calendar month to complete, due to the fact we were able to assign a high priority to the role and the speed at which the team was able to research and target the candidate market.
In addition the client was extremely proactive and moved quickly to secure the candidate they were interested in.
