In this video Amoria Bond volunteers who travelled to Peru explain why supporting Project Peru's refuge is so important. Peru has suffered the highest mortality rate from the COVID pandemic globally, leaving even more children in desperate need. The refuge currently doesn't have enough space, which means children as young as 14 years old have to leave with nowhere to live, no chance of staying in school and limited prospects in one of the world's poorest regions, Las Laderas - a desert shanty-town in the foothills of Lima. In 2022 we made our 5th volunteer trip to the region to support the local community and Project Peru's Children's Refuge.
