Microbiologist/Microbiology Officer – Essex – Contract (6 months)I am urgently recruiting for a Microbiologist to work at a leading Pharmaceutical client based in Essex. Below is the experience and day to day responsibilities. Interviews are being arranged next week so if you are available for work please get in touch ASAP.Acting as the microbiology subject matter expert within the Quality Assurance department you will be responsible for the following…Day to day role:• Lead responsibility for the provision of microbiology expertise• Management of all aspects of the environmental monitoring programme (staff, microbiological media, test equipment, contractors, standard operational procedures and GMP records)• Leading investigations into environmental monitoring results outside of acceptance criteria• Staff training at all levels on sources of contamination and microbiological control• Ensuring the department has the correct procedures and policies in place that the unit manufactures sterile product• Supporting investigations when microbiological results fall outside of pre-defined acceptance criteria• Responsibility for independent release of aseptically prepared products to wards and customers• Liaise with relevant external contractors • Working autonomously in your specialist area without supervision• Ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements of Annex 1 EU GMPKey experience:• Microbiological subject matter expertise, particularly with respect to sources of contamination and disinfection programmes• Environmental monitoring (eg: settle plate, contact plate, non-viable air particle, etc)• Recording highly complex environmental monitoring results, interpret data, and lead trend analysis of microbiological results• Perform checks on media after testing, as required, to ensure the media is still capable of supporting microbiological growth after testing • Checking the performance of incubators on daily basis and organising incubators to ensure all samples receive the correct incubation times and temperatures• Write microbiological investigation protocols and ensure all microbiology validations are fit for purpose• Liaise with clinical microbiology regarding any clinical implication when contamination has been isolated from critical zones• Quality management, resource management, security and health & safety For more information on the role and rate bandings please get in touch ASAP by either calling the Amoria Bond number or sending your CV via the apply button.
