Summary:
Amoria Bond are recruiting for a Permitting and Compliance Manager on an initial 9 month contract
Our client supports critical national infrastructure within the renewable energy market.
The role:
- Responsibility for all environmental permitting and compliance across the UK portfolio
- Preparation and submission of new emissions permit applications
- Manage any variations to existing permits that may be required
- Liaise with the Operations Team, ensure monitoring of sites is carried out in a timely manner
- Ensuring continual improvement of IED permitted sites
- Conduct environmental audits and inspections, and host external audits by regulators
- Assess site operations and procedures and recommend/implement improvements
- Be the internal expert on environmental legislation and regulation
Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential to have an experience managing permit applications and compliance in a heavily regulated industry
- Understanding of MCPD, IED and UK-ETS permit requirements, both for new applications and ongoing maintenance
- Advantageous to have basic knowledge of air dispersion modelling and/or combustion processes
- Detailed knowledge of environmental legislation
