Greener, cleaner, quieter rail transport improving the lives of surrounding communities

Environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient rail transport is a major goal that could revolutionise the transportation industry. Aside from contributing to a greener planet and achieving net-zero goals, enhanced rail transport solutions can have a direct and immediate positive impact on the communities surrounding railway lines.  

This is the goal of a German rail project led by a combined manufacturing and rail business, supported by Amoria Bond. We placed two highly skilled specialists in crucial positions on a project to develop a hybrid locomotive that significantly reduce CO2 emission and energy consumption. As well as contributing to a cleaner environment, the project will drastically cut energy usage in railway operations, leading to long-term cost savings. Communities near the lines will also benefit from improved air quality and reduced noise pollution, enhancing their daily lives – during initial test runs a community near a busy railway station praised the reduced noise levels, making the benefits of sustainable mobility immediately tangible.
