Location: Utrecht Region, Netherlands (2 days on-site per week)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced SAP PM Business Consultant to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme within an international enterprise environment.
This role is primarily business-facing, requiring someone who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will translate business requirements into functional SAP solutions while also being capable of performing hands-on configuration where needed.
This is a freelance assignment for an experienced SAP consultant who enjoys working in complex transformation programmes and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the business and IT.
Responsibilities
- Act as the functional business partner for SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Translate business requirements into scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions
- Facilitate workshops and engage with maintenance and business stakeholders
- Configure and maintain SAP PM functionality where required
- Collaborate with solution architects, technical teams, and external implementation partners
- Support process design, solution validation, and functional testing
- Analyse and resolve functional issues and provide business-focused recommendations
- Ensure effective integration with related SAP modules, including MM and EAM where applicable
- Drive continuous process improvements and SAP best practices
- Support change management and user adoption throughout the programme
Required Skills & Experience
Must have
- Proven experience as an SAP PM Business Consultant or SAP Business Analyst
- Hands-on SAP PM configuration experience
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA (essential)
- Experience translating business requirements into functional SAP solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience working within large-scale SAP transformation or implementation programmes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English language skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or FMCG environments
- Experience working in international enterprise organisations
