About the Opportunity
Role: SAP S/4HANA Product Owner
Start Date: ASAP / in consultation
Contract: Initial 12-month contract, with the intention to transition to permanent employment
Hours: 32-36 hours per week
Location: Netherlands | Hybrid - 2 days onsite
For one of our clients, a large Dutch organisation undergoing a major SAP S/4HANA transformation, we are looking for an experienced SAP Product Owner to join their ERP programme.
This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation that is implementing SAP S/4HANA while simultaneously building a new ERP management organisation from the ground up.
You will connect the business, SAP specialists and implementation partner, while helping shape the processes and ways of working that will support the SAP landscape after go-live.
Key Responsibilities
As the SAP Product Owner, you will:
Own and prioritise the Product Backlog.
Translate business requirements into Epics, Features and User Stories.
Maximise business value across sprints and releases.
Connect Business Owners, key users, end users, SAP consultants and the implementation partner.
Ensure alignment between business processes, SAP functionality, data and integrations.
Drive standardisation and a Fit-to-Standard approach.
Support testing, acceptance, release and Go-Live activities.
Identify risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities.
Provide functional direction to Agile teams.
Contribute to building the future ERP management organisation.
You don't need to be a hands-on configuration specialist, but you should have strong SAP S/4HANA functional knowledge and be able to challenge solutions and make informed decisions.
Requirements
We're looking for someone with:
5+ years of relevant SAP experience, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
Experience as an SAP Product Owner, Senior SAP Consultant, SAP Business Consultant or Senior Functional Consultant.
Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP business processes.
Experience with SAP FI/CO, PS, MM, EWM or SD.
Experience with ERP implementations or transformation programmes.
Experience with Agile, Scrum or SAFe.
Strong Product Backlog management experience.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Experience with testing, acceptance and release management.
Excellent communication skills.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
