Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) - C/C++ | FPGA | Deep-Tech

The project
Looking to work on the technology that controls cutting-edge quantum computers? Our client is a fast-growing deep-tech scale-up based in Delft, building the electronics and software that sit between quantum processors and the systems controlling them. It's high-impact engineering, real hardware FPGA work on a novel product.
Your responsibilities
- Develop embedded software in C/C++ interfacing with custom control electronics
- Collaborate with FPGA, electronics, and hardware teams on integration
- Maintain embedded Linux-based software architectures
- Build and optimize low-level drivers and communication interfaces
- Support real-time performance across the control stack
- Debug and troubleshoot across the hardware/software stack
Your specific skills/requirements/profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or comparable professional experience.
- Solid experience in embedded C/C++ development
- Exposure to FPGA-adjacent or hardware-interfacing software, ideally with embedded Linux
- Python experience a plus
- Familiarity with low-level protocols (SPI, I²C, UART)
- Fluent English; Dutch a plus
