Producing vaccines during the pandemic

In the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the race for a vaccine was the turning point that would save millions of lives, slow the spread and allow countries to finally curb the restrictions that had kept people in their homes for months.  

Creating the vaccine was an immense breakthrough and a historic scientific accomplishment, but it was only the first step. Production had to be scaled up rapidly to make enough vaccine to roll out around the world.
