Delivering a Hard-to-Find Automation Engineer for a Global Pharma Company in Sweden

A leading global life sciences organisation required a Swedish-speaking Automation Engineer with a highly niche skillset with expertise in Siemens PCS7 and other PLC systems, PLC programming, GMP and pharmaceutical environments.

The position also required the engineer to be largely on-site in Uppsala, which further restricted the already limited talent pool. Competition from major companies in the region, such as Johnson & Johnson, made securing the talent even more challenging.

The Solution

Despite a limited candidate market, Amoria Bond leveraged an existing network and relationships to source suitable profiles. We proposed three suitable candidates to the client, two of which had prior experience working at the client site.

While they were not immediately available, flexibility around start dates was explored early, knowing this competence was extremely rare. This steady engagement helped to build confidence, secure interviews, and influence the outcome positively.

The Result

The hiring manager ultimately confirmed that he would be comfortable hiring either of the shortlisted experts, confident in the quality of candidates presented.

The Automation Engineer is now scheduled to within a month, marking a significant success in a highly competitive market.
