Data Analyst

Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join their diverse and inclusive team. This role is critical in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse customer behaviour, optimise business processes, and support executive leadership with intuitive dashboards. Responsibilities

• Analyze complex datasets to generate meaningful insights related to customer analytics, including segmentation, cohort analysis, churn modeling, and funnel analysis.
• Design and implement A/B tests and other experimentation frameworks to validate hypotheses and measure impact.
• Develop advanced SQL queries and utilize Python (pandas, numpy) and R when necessary to manipulate and analyze data.
• Build and maintain executive-level dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or Tableau to communicate findings effectively.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on Azure-based platforms and contribute to data warehousing initiatives.
• Translate data insights into compelling stories tailored for various stakeholders to support business decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze customer satisfaction metrics such as NPS and CSAT to inform retention strategies.
• Promote inclusive data practices by ensuring analytical models are fair and unbiased.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data analytics, preferably with a focus on customer analytics.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel skills.
• Expertise in Python (pandas, numpy) and familiarity with R.
• Experience in data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of customer analytic techniques including segmentation, cohort analysis, churn modelling, funnel analysis, and experimentation.
• Understanding of cloud data platforms, ideally Azure, and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Day-to-Day

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business challenges.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract and prepare relevant data sets.
• Conduct analyses using Python and advanced Excel functions to uncover trends and insights.
• Develop dashboards and reports on Power BI/Tableau tailored to different levels of the organisation.
• Participate in planning and executing experiment designs and A/B tests.
• Present findings in clear, concise reports and storytelling sessions to influence strategic decisions.
• Continuously learn about new technologies and methodologies to enhance data-driven capabilities.
• Engage in team discussions promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in analytic methods and workplace culture.
