About the role
We are looking for an experienced SAP TM Business Consultant to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme within an international enterprise environment.
This role is primarily business-facing, requiring someone who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will translate transportation and logistics business requirements into functional SAP Transportation Management (TM) solutions while also being capable of performing hands-on configuration where needed.
This is a freelance assignment for an experienced SAP consultant who enjoys working in complex transformation programmes and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across both business and IT.
Responsibilities
- Act as the functional business partner for SAP Transportation Management (TM)
- Translate transportation and logistics business requirements into scalable SAP S/4HANA TM solutions
- Facilitate workshops and engage with key business stakeholders
- Configure and maintain SAP TM functionality where required
- Collaborate with solution architects, technical teams and external implementation partners
- Support transportation process design, solution validation and functional testing
- Analyse and resolve functional issues and provide business-focused recommendations
- Ensure successful integration with related SAP modules, including SD, EWM, MM and LE
- Drive continuous process improvements and SAP TM best practices
- Support change management and user adoption throughout the programme
Required Skills & Experience
Must have
- Proven experience as an SAP TM Business Consultant or SAP TM Functional Consultant
- Hands-on SAP TM configuration experience
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (essential)
- Experience translating business requirements into functional SAP TM solutions
- Strong understanding of transportation planning, freight management, carrier selection, freight settlement and logistics execution
- Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience working within large-scale SAP transformation or implementation programmes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English language skills
Nice to have
- Experience integrating SAP TM with SAP SD, EWM, MM or GTS
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or FMCG environments
- Experience working in international enterprise organisations
- Knowledge of embedded SAP TM in S/4HANA
