Embedded Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Embedded Engineer to join our diverse and inclusive team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain embedded software systems using C++ and Python, primarily operating within Linux environments. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test embedded software solutions using C++ and Python.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize embedded systems for reliability and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities.
  • Document software designs, processes, and test results to support transparency and team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
  • Experience working with embedded Linux systems.
  • Strong understanding of embedded system architecture and real-time operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.

Day-to-Day

  • Writing and reviewing code to develop embedded software components.
  • Collaborating daily with hardware engineers, QA, and product teams.
  • Debugging software issues on embedded devices and applying fixes.
  • Participating in agile sprints and team meetings to plan and track progress.
  • Continuously learning about new technologies and best practices in embedded development.
  • Contributing to documentation and knowledge base articles to support team growth.
