Job Description: Cisco Infrastructure Security Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cisco Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our diverse and inclusive team. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure network platforms leveraging Cisco infrastructure and Cisco SWA solutions.
• Implement and manage F5 load balancers and security features to ensure robust application delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce network security policies and best practices.
• Monitor network performance and security posture, proactively identifying vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Participate in incident response and support root cause analysis for security events involving Cisco and F5 technologies.
• Document network designs, configurations, and security controls to support operational efficiency and compliance.
• Stay updated with emerging security trends, Cisco innovations, and compliance requirements to continuously improve our security posture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building and managing Cisco network infrastructure with a strong focus on security.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco SWA (Secure Workload Automation) and F5 technologies.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CCIE, or F5 Certified Administrator are a plus.
• Commitment to continuous learning and embracing diverse perspectives.

Day-to-Day

• Collaborate with the Security, Networking, and DevOps teams to implement secure network solutions.
• Configure and optimize Cisco devices, Cisco SWA, and F5 platforms according to organizational security standards.
• Monitor alerts, troubleshoot network and security issues, and respond promptly to incidents.
• Participate in team meetings, sharing knowledge and constructive feedback supporting a positive team environment.
• Document workflows, update procedures, and contribute to training materials to promote knowledge sharing.
• Engage in professional development activities and networking opportunities focusing on diversity and inclusion within the tech space.
