Data Scientist
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Data Scientist to join a prominent Dutch public-sector organisation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and structure extensive sets of unstructured textual data for analysis.
- Develop and implement analyses using Python, NLP techniques, and machine learning models.
- Explore innovative and practical applications of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI to enhance data understanding.
- Identify recurring patterns, trends, and potential root causes within operational data.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for operational improvement.
- Independently investigate various approaches and solutions to complex problems.
- Collaborate closely with technical specialists and operational stakeholders to ensure insights align with organisational needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Data Science or Data Engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Proven experience analysing complex, large-scale datasets.
- Demonstrated expertise in NLP, text analytics, or text mining.
- Solid knowledge of LLMs and Generative AI technologies.
- Previous experience within Dutch government or other public-sector organisations is highly desirable.
- Investigative mindset with the ability to work independently without predefined solutions.
- Professional fluency in Dutch (written and spoken).
- Experience with IT service data, incident data, or operational support environments is a strong advantage.
