I'm supporting a major international energy infrastructure business looking for an experienced Freelance Contract Manager to strengthen its project execution team in Germany.
This is a hands-on role supporting major infrastructure projects through the execution phase. We're looking for someone who understands what is happening on the project and can translate that into the appropriate contractual and commercial action.
The role will involve:
* Contract Management throughout live project execution
* Managing subcontractor contractual performance
* Claims, variations and change management
* Delay and performance-related contractual issues
* Establishing contractual entitlement and appropriate strategy
* Managing contractual notices and correspondence
* Working closely with Project Management and site teams
* Customer and subcontractor interfaces
* Protecting the project's contractual and commercial position
We're looking for:
* Strong hands-on Contract Management experience
* Major EPC / infrastructure project experience
* Experience managing subcontractors during execution
* Practical claims and change-management experience
* Ability to independently manage contractual issues as they arise
* Strong stakeholder communication skills
* Fluent German and English
The position can be predominantly remote-based within Germany, with travel required for relevant project/site meetings.
Experience within HV cables, transmission, grid infrastructure, offshore wind, substations or major energy projects would be particularly relevant.
