Amoria Bond’s annual festive fundraising for local charities is in full swing across all our offices.

Helping the Community is a key commitment in the Amoria Bond Group’s new GROWTH Strategy which was launched earlier this year.

Every December, Amoria Bond employees chose a local community charity to support, and collectively they find fun ways to work together to raise funds. This is on top of the company’s wider CSR commitments and long term charitable partnerships with organisations like Project Peru and One Tree Planted.

Amoria Bond believes encouraging and enabling employees to get involved with charities and help those less fortunate than ourselves is essential to progressing lives everywhere, and we are incredibly proud of the amazing efforts of our teams around the world who have once again stepped up to make a difference. It’s the people running these charities every day who are the real heroes, and they genuinely need all the help and support they can get. We encourage everybody to take the time to read on and find out more about these amazing charities:

SCHUMANECK KINDERHAUS

In Cologne, Senior Consultant, Guiseppe Baldi, is co-ordinating a fantastic present appeal for the Schumaneck Kinderhaus, a local charity which works with babies, children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with a safe home and stable environment, as well as invaluable advice and training as part of their education to give them every possible opportunity to succeed and progress in life. There are 60 children currently living in Schumaneck Kinderhaus care homes, and Amoria Bond Germany is aiming to buy every single one of them a gift from their Christmas List! Shumaneck Kinderhaus is a place of hope, giving children a chance in life - like baby Rassel shown in the picture below.

SERVE THE CITY

In Amsterdam, our teams are raising funds and donating much needed essential items like food, clothing, and toiletries to a wonderful local charity that works with the city’s homeless population. There are over 40,000 homeless people in the Netherlands, a situation made worse by the pandemic this year. Office Manager, Milla Todman, is doing a fabulous job of co-ordinating donations, and creating gift bags that Serve the City can distribute. The teams are even auctioning items they’ve donated to maximise their fund-raising efforts. Read Yousef’s story about what it is like to be homeless in Amsterdam here

FRANCIS HOUSE HOSPICE

In Manchester, our volunteer charity committee members have put together a series of festive fundraising events to raise money for local children’s hospice, Francis House supports approximately 2,000 people at any one time with respite care, homecare, sibling support, end of life care and emotional and bereavement support. “You forget it’s a hospice, it’s just somewhere that we all come to as a family and we make lovely memories.” says Andrea, mum Andrea of Isabel who are in the photo below.

FOOD BANK SINGAPORE

In Singapore, our teams are donating to the Foodbank Singapore, an organisation striving to eliminate all food insecurity in the country with a vision to reduce food waste by acquiring donated food from farms, manufacturers, distributors, stores, consumers and other sources, and distributing them to charities within its member network, who then deliver them to beneficiaries. In the past few months, The Food Bank Singapore had to step up its operations to bring food to the less privileged and vulnerable communities in the country, who have been harder hit by the pandemic.
