What can we at Amoria Bond look back on after 12 months? A lot has happened! We've welcomed 70 new employees, celebrated 90 promotions and won 4 awards - but these are just some of our achievements so far! We are looking forward to a great new year with many more promotions, awards, articles and much more in store!
In July 2020 the Amoria Bond Group started planting trees with non-profit reforestation partner, One Tree Planted to fulfil our CSR Commitment to plant 1:10:100:1000 trees:
- We plant 1 tree for every NPS survey completed by our clients and candidates
- 10 trees on behalf of every Amoria Bond employee, every year
- 100 trees every time an Amoria Bond employee is promoted internally in celebration of their progression through our 10-Steps career program
- 1000 trees every time we open an Amoria Bond office in new global locations
Since July 2020 a whopping 92,000 trees have been planted, with over 42,000 in 2022. We won’t stop there, we want to plant a forest, and we’ll keep on planting trees until we do!!
"Working in staffing and consultancy can be a brilliant career for women". That's something you don't hear often enough, and that's a real problem, because the perception of this industry as being male-dominated is still prevalent and can prevent more women from seeking jobs in the staffing sector. To overcome this and drive more gender diversity in the sector, we need to break that bias.
In our live panel event, broadcasted on LinkedIn on 10th March 2022, people with first-hand experience shared their success stories in order to prove why staffing and consultancy can be a great career for women, while also exploring why gender diversity is essential for sustained success and growth in our sector.
In this video Amoria Bond volunteers who travelled to Peru explain why supporting Project Peru's refuge is so important. Peru has suffered the highest mortality rate from the COVID pandemic globally, leaving even more children in desperate need. The refuge currently doesn't have enough space, which means children as young as 14 years old have to leave with nowhere to live, no chance of staying in school and limited prospects in one of the world's poorest regions, Las Laderas - a desert shanty-town in the foothills of Lima. In 2022 we made our 5th volunteer trip to the region to support the local community and Project Peru's Children's Refuge.
At the start of 2022 Amoria Bond employees ran, cycled and swam 7,413km, with the company donating $1 for every km to Project Peru's children's refuge in Las Laderas, Peru. The money donated will cover the first payment of a planned expansion of the refuge's accommodation wing that will help them house more children and young people for longer.
7,413km is the distance from Amoria Bond's Manchester HQ to the location chosen for our first US office in Dallas, Texas due to open this year. It's a brilliant reminder that as we grow as a business, we're committed to giving back.
So thank you to all our staff members (and their families) who got involved, shook off the January blues and got active to help us hit our target and raise money for a great cause.
On 11th June, our Regional Talent Acquisition Manager, Jenny Walsh, travelled to Peru with a team of Amoria Bond colleagues. In this video, Jenny shares her reasons for partaking in this amazing opportunity and her brave fundraising activities! Jenny and the team assisted with ongoing building work to the expand Project Peru’s children's refuge - so more children and teenagers can stay there longer and complete their education to have a real chance in what’s a very impoverished area.
We are very proud of Jenny and all our volunteer colleagues. Listen to some of our volunteers talk about their experience in our special Peru Progressing Lives Everywhere podcast episode here.
On 11th June Senior Recruitment Consultant Pierluigi Gaeta travelled to Peru with 10 of his Amoria Bond colleagues on our latest volunteer trip. Learn about Pierluigi's reasons for partaking in this amazing opportunity and his fundraising efforts in this video.
Our volunteers participated in the expansion of a children's refuge - so that the local adolescents in poverty have a place to stay, eat and get an education. We are very proud of our volunteers - and wanted to know from them what exactly motivated them to embark on this journey.
