What better way to start the day than meeting with colleagues from across the world to celebrate successes, share best practice, and discuss insights, tips and techniques to boost your mutual wellbeing?!
Well that’s exactly what female colleagues from across Amoria Bond Group’s international offices did this week, and it was fantastic to hear so many inspiring personal and professional progression updates. So far this year, almost half of our new hires into Amoria Bond have been women, and likewise internal promotions, including the appointment of another female to the Board with Natasha Crump who joined as Group ESG Director in March.
Attracting, retaining and progressing more women within our business is one of the primary objectives our ASCEND co-founders Natasha, Leah Brown and Amy Steel set out to achieve when we launched the programme; and just 9 months on it is fantastic to see the progress we’ve made. Already well ahead of industry averages, Amoria Bond are proud to be leading the recruitment industry, as one of the monitory of staffing and recruitment consultancies with initiatives specifically aimed at supporting our female employees. We are also proactive in supporting our clients and candidates to accelerate their own gender diversity ambitions. You can still catch our IWD 2021 live panel event here to gain insights from external specialists into:
-How to differentiate your business to attract more female talent
-How to identify bias
-Ways to positively challenge and reduce bias in your selection and hiring processes
-Practical ways women can empower themselves to progress in STEM careers
-How to be an effective advocate and ally for female colleagues
Special thanks to Alina Ferrante, for sharing her personal progression journey so far, as well as insights into maintaining a positive mind-set as our ASPIRE colleague of the month; and to our Lean-In champion, Lisanne Bleeck, for a great update on how colleagues can get involved with future Lean-In discussion groups.
ASCEND is an Amoria Bond Group initiative for our female colleagues - regardless of tenure, function, seniority or team - which aims to attract, retain and progress more women within our own business, and across our specialist STEM sectors.
