Sourcing an IT specialist for Rabobank in 48 hours

In August 2018, Rabobank engaged Amoria Bond to fill a specialist vacancy where other agencies had failed to source suitable candidates. They were unsure of their candidate profile and struggling to find the best person for the Database Administrator position.

Our priority was to understand the role clearly, so we met Rabobank’s hiring manager. Then, through in-depth, targeted questioning we developed a detailed specification of the role and ideal candidate profile including technical skills, soft skills and essential work experience. 

We made sure we understood why other candidates sourced by our competitors were unsuccessful, so we knew what to avoid. Using our detailed experience of the business intelligence marketplace, we recommended changing the job title from Database Administrator to Database Functional Analyst to better match Rabobank’s target candidate pool. 

After identifying 120 potential candidates through telephone screening, cross-checking the strongest references and searching our extensive network, we presented the client with a shortlist of the three best candidates we believed to be the perfect fit for Rabobank. We achieved all this within 48 hours of the initial meeting with the client.

Within a two-week window, we helped Rabobank fulfil a vacant role they had been unable to fill. We provided consultation which shaped their previously undefined requirements, and we sourced a suitable and screened candidate within four days of the initial meeting.

Rabobank’s hiring manager was impressed with our solution's outcome and said all three candidates were suitable for the role.
